controversy did God punished the wives of the prophet Hafsa(ra),and Ayesha siddhique(ra).
In this session,we will try to refute the propaganda which tries to show that, not only Hafsa(ra) and Ayesha siddhique(ra) are not ahlulbayt but also god hated them,a propaganda mostly promoted by raafidhi kuffar. For this, they relied on misunderstanding of a hadeeth of sahih al bukhari.Inshallah,in this article we will refute this false propaganda, once and for all.first of all let us see, that really did umar ibn al khattab (ra) cursed wives of the prophet hafsa(ra),and also Ayesha siddhique(ra) from the following statement:-My dear daughter. Do you answer back the Prophet to the extent that he remains angry the whole day?” She answered, “By Allah, we do answer back.’ I said, ‘I warn you of Allah’s punishment and His anger for His Messenger. My dear daughter, do not be misled by the other one whose beauty has led the Prophet to her love.’ [He meant `A’isha]. Here is the second part of Umar ibn khattab(ra) where did we don't observe cursing that mentioned by raafidha towards hafsa(ra) and Ayesha siddhique(ra) as given:-He said: No, but something even more serious. The Prophet (peace be upon him) has divorced his wives. I said: Doomed is Hafsah (the words in Bukhari are: Raghima anfu Hafsah wa Aishah). I already had a premonition of this.asked him, ‘What is it? Have Ghassan come?’ He replied that it was worse and more serious than that, adding that Allah’s Messenger had divorced all his wives. I said, ‘Hafsah is a ruined loser! I expected that would happen some day.’The last two verses does not show Hafsa or Ayesha(ra) has been cursed but both because of their act ruined their life and got divorced.was Hafsa(ra) and Ayesha siddhique (ra) only responsible for this, then the answer is no as stated in the following:-10. This shows that the fault did not lie only with Aisha and Hafsah but the other wives also had some share in it. That is why, after them, all the other wives too, have been warned in this verse. No light has been thrown on the nature of the error in the Quran. However, some details are found in the Hadith, which we shall relate below.
In Bukhari, a tradition has been reported from Anas, saying that Umar said: The Prophet’s (peace be upon him) wives because of their mutual envies and rivalries had utterly displeased him. At this I said to them: It may well be that if the Prophet (peace be upon him) divorced you, Allah would give him in your place better wives than you. Ibn Abi Hatim has, on the authority of Anas, reported the statement of Umar in these words: I was informed that a discord had been created between the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his wives. At this I went to each of them and asked them to refrain from vexing the Prophet (peace be upon him); otherwise Allah would give him in their stead better wives than themselves. So much so that when I went to the last of them (and according to a tradition of Bukhari, to Umm Salamah), she said to me: O Umar, is not the Prophet (peace be upon him) himself enough to admonish his wives? Then why should you come out to counsel them. This made me quiet, and after this Allah sent down this verse. So if these hadeeth shows that Hafsa(ra) and Ayesha siddhique(ra) are cursed,it then must also be applied to other wives of prophet which is silly at its best. Also,a great explanation by Aalim on this hadeeth has been provided:-It has been stated in this Surah that the Prophet, whose reverence and respect Allah Himself has enjoined as a necessary part of the faith of His servants, once during his sacred life made a thing declared lawful by Allah unlawful for himself only to please his wives. Allah severely reproved of their errors, the wives of the Prophet whom Allah Himself has declared as mothers of the faithful; worthy of the highest esteem and honor. Further, this criticism of the Prophet and the administration of the warning to his wives was made not secretly but included in the Book, which the entire Ummah has to read and recite forever. Obviously, the intention of making mention of this instance in the Book of Allah was not, nor could it have been, that Allah wanted to degrade His Rasool and the Mothers of the Faithful in the eyes of the believers. It is also obvious that no Muslim has lost respect for them after reading this Surah of the Qur'an. There cannot be any other reason of mentioning this instance in the Qur'an other than that Allah wants to acquaint the believers with the correct manner of reverence for their personalities. A Prophet is a Prophet, not God, and he may commit error. Respect of the Prophet has not been enjoined because he is infallible, but because he is a perfect representative of Divine Will, and Allah has not permitted any of his errors to pass unnoticed. This gives us the satisfaction that the noble pattern of life left by the Prophet wholly and fully represents the Will of Allah.
